Salted Tahini Caramel

 


Salted Tahini Caramel

Makes: ⅔ cup

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 3 tablespoons cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon date syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

Method:

  1. Heat the tahini, maple syrup, coconut oil, and date syrup, in a small saucepan over medium heat, mixing constantly until the coconut oil is melted and incorporated into the tahini and maple. Let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, and add the vanilla and salt, mixing to evenly combine.
  3. Transfer to an air-tight jar, and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
