If you think coleslaw is boring and just a weird way to eat mayonnaise, think again. This is my go-to recipe fo a simple cabbage slaw that is the perfect side dish for any meal. the best part? Cabbage slaw keeps really well in the fridge, meaning it’s perfect for leftovers!
I used pear in this recipe, but feel free to use any fruit you like. From halved grapes, sliced apples, oranges, or even berries, the fruit gives a nice touch of sweetness in this zesty sesame slaw.
I might serve this as a side to grilled fish and coconut rice, or topped with sesame baked tofu, avocado, and rice noodles!
Napa cabbage has leaves that are “softer” than a typical white or red cabbage, making it a little closer to that of a lettuce base salad.
