I’ll admit – I buy hummus all the time. But when I have the time, I like making my own. It’s cheap and easy, and there are limitless combinations. Use it as a vehicle for anything you need to get rid of – wilted greens/herbs, veggie odds and ends? Toss it in!
Carrots are my favorite. Roasted ones? Even better. Mix in a few teaspoons of cinnamon and you just won’t be able to resist this homemade healthy hummus.
It’s chock-full of plenty of other healthy goodies too- lemon juice, garlic, turmeric, chickpeas, you name it! You won’t have to worry about eating too much. My spicy roasted carrot hummus is ridiculously tasty and ridiculously good for you.
You can use this spicy roasted carrot hummus as a dip, as a sandwich spread, or maybe even as a salad topper. Enjoy with chopped veggies, or as part of a wrap. Look for fun ways to eat it with your kids!
This hummus is so good, you’ll end up looking for any excuse to use it.
