Tahini is the glue that holds my body together. Seriously. I go through an embarrassing amount of tahini in a given month. If there’s ever a time where dinner is BORING (ok, a lot of the time). My answer is usually: tahini sauce, tahini dressing, or tahini on its own. This tahini kefir sauce is a little tangy, a little rich, and a little spicy, making it perfect for drizzling over sweet potato wedges. I also use this as a tasty salad dressing, in wraps, and as a falafel dip. Seriously, this tahini kefir sauce is amazing.
I get a lot of questions about kefir – it basically tastes like a tangy yogurt that is more drinkable than spoonable. Truth be told, kefir is higher in probiotic goodness compared to a traditional yogurt, making it a great way to introduce some gut loving bacteria into your diet.
Kefir gives this tahini dressing recipe a bit of lightness without a hit of sour vinegar. It’s the perfect way to thin it out, especially if your tahini jar is as empty as mine.
