Za’atar & Honey Brussels Sprouts

Za’atar and honey, no other words needed!

Mix the zestiness of za’atar and the organic sweetness of honey with a fresh batch of crunchy brussels sprouts and what do you get? A vegan dish with delicious Middle Eastern flavors and texture to die for.

Israeli Za’atar’s one of my favorite spice mixtures and for good reason. It’s a blend of so many different Middle-Eastern flavors, textures, and fragrances and I just can’t get enough. Za’atar’s got oregano, thyme, sesame seeds, all of the good stuff- and when you add it to other good stuff it makes them taste even better.

Now I know that most people probably wouldn’t consider brussels sprouts as good stuff and I bet some of you still have really bad childhood memories, but give it a chance! Cook it the right way and you’ll be a brussels sprouts convert. Add za’atar to bring out rich and fresh flavors and you’re locked in for life.

Za’atar & Honey Brussels Sprouts is a one-pan revelation. Heat up a tablespoon of olive oil, toss everything into the pan, drizzle out as much honey as you want, and you’re done!

Well, technically there’s still a couple more steps in between but I promise that this recipe’s as easy to make as I’m making it out to be.

Try out this easy vegan plant-based Za’atar & Honey Brussels Sprouts recipe and enjoy a dish with the perfect balance of flavors and the right amount of crunch. Perfect as a side dish or a filling snack!
